No parent ever wants to see their child hurting — and no child ever wants to see their parents suffer. My siblings and I may be grown now, but seeing our dad, Steven, in so much pain has been heartbreaking beyond words.

Two weeks ago, he went to the hospital with severe abdominal pain. Within hours, everything changed — he was life-flighted to another hospital with a perforated bowel. Since then, he’s had multiple surgeries, including the removal of a large portion of his intestines and the placement of an ostomy bag. He’s still in the ICU, struggling to breathe, fighting pneumonia, and facing a long road to recovery.

My parents were already facing financial hardship, and now with my dad unable to work and medical bills piling up, they’re also losing their home. My mom has been by his side every single day — praying, comforting him, and trying to stay strong while quietly carrying an unbearable weight.

They’ve always been there for us. Now, it’s our turn to be there for them.

I’m asking for help to ease their burden — to cover medical expenses, basic living costs, and ensure my mom can take care of herself during this unimaginable time.
