On Saturday, August 30th, in Franklin, NH, my sister Stephanie and her boyfriend Shawn's apartment caught fire and they lost just about everything due to fire/smoke damage. They have 3 children, and it being just before the school year, the kids lost all of their school supplies and clothing.
