I'm Michelle, a cat mom to 2 and foster cat mom to 3 who will likely become mine since people don't seem to want to adopt adult cat's and they're now 2. This go fund me is for my oldest furbaby, Squeaker. This is him as a freshly neutered kitten and he had me at those baby blues. I mean could you resist that face?

In February he had emergency dental surgery to pull teeth and treat an abscess. Since then, I noticed he had diarrhea so we began our journey that lead to diabetes, which has lead to the creation of this go fund me. He was diagnosed as diabetic and after beginning insulin in July everything started to go south. After about 3 weeks on insulin he had to be rushed to his vet because I just knew something was off. He started vomiting, which all my research shows that isn't good for a diabetic cat, and I had noticed a decline in how much he was eating. I wasn't sure if it was because I was trying different foods to get him on a diabetic friendly diet, or something else. That trip showed he had excessively high Ketones so they began syringe feeding him and focusing on getting those ketones down. They gave him Subq fluids in the office and sent him home once he was stable, the following day he was significantly better, almost like nothing happened. But that lasted all of 24 hours until I had to rush him back to the vet because he stopped eating all together and became lethargic and his insulin, due to the not eating, caused him to go hypoglycemic on many occasions. Several vet visits and a couple of ER visits later, he was diagnosed with pancreatitis, though not a severe case. We were hopeful that at home fluids and anti-nausea meds would be enough.

For the most part, it was. Until it wasn't. He started to reject the anti-nausea meds which in turn caused him to stop eating again and I could see the spiral beginning all over again. So another ER visit later we have him on different anti-nausea medications and will begin a different, more expensive, insulin in hopes to get him regulated and healthy again. However, after all these visits to the vet just to get the diagnosis, and now to work to stabilize him, I have reached my financial limits. Anyone who knows me knows that I HATE asking for help, and creating something like this just feels wrong to me, but I also know that sometimes we all need a little help and I've reached that point. I don't expect miracle donations, but any little bit helps.

Squeaker is 10 years old and is the sweetest cat you could ask for. He was born feral and suckered me in, has put up with me bringing in countless other feral cats, one of which pictured with him above became his baby sister. He is also a great big foster brother to 3. He's loving, soft, and a constant companion to me and it breaks my heart seeing him go through this and to know he still wants to fight it.

This go fund me is to help with the incurred medical expenses thus far, the cost of all the different food types I've gotten to see about getting a more diabetic friendly food, and a little extra while I try to get him regulated on his insulin and on a road to recovery. He isn't ready to go yet, and I want to fight with him for as long as possible, I just need a little help to make that happen.

So if you can find it in your heart to donate to my beautiful boy, we would both be most appreciative.
