Our family has been separated. My husband, soulmate, and best friend for 20 years was taken by ICE upon returning from a five-day vacation on June 28th. We’re reaching out with heavy hearts and an urgent request for help.

He is currently facing deportation. Despite paying a lawyer and exploring all waivers, he unfortunately does not qualify. Nothing could have prepared us for this and there’s a tremendous void in our lives. He’s worked hard every day to support us, has always put his family and community first, and now he needs our help more than ever. I am setting up this GoFundMe to raise funds for monthly expenses for our family as we have gone from an income of two to one. Along with monies needed as we try to secure a place for him to live as he is sent back to the Caribbean where he has no one and will be starting from scratch. As well as airfare for the kids and I to go visit him and give us a sense of closeness as this is the first time we’ve been away from each other for such an extended period of time as we all try to adjust to this new way of life.
