I never ask for help..

But this time, I'm out of options.

I'm an elderly disabled ex uniformed patrolman, well into retirement. I don't have much, but what i do have, I've worked for my whole life. After losing my wife a bit over a year ago, i was left here with her three year old cat.

My best friend, Smokey got sick with a life threatening urinary illness. Being a recurring issue, he's needed multiple vet visits, meds, surgeries, all of which I've gladly paid for..

But this last time, we were informed Smokey would need a permanently life altering surgery. He'll be on medications, prescription diet and regular vet visits for the rest of his life.

Smokey is an extremely rare Nebelung breed, (less than a few dozen in the whole nation.) Who came into my life by pure chance, But that's of no consequence to me. What matters, is that my beautiful boy is healthy.

Smokey's in the vet hospital as i write this.. which is what brings me here.

I've given everything i have, begged, borrowed and gone deep into debt for this amazing little man. But this time i simply don't have the resources.

His latest vet bill is close to $7000.00, so i guess we can only pray that by the miracle of kind hearts... but at this point, literally anything would truly be Heaven sent.

Smokey's an incredible animal.. he's loving, kind, smart... and now he's fighting for his life..

I'm not asking for millions, Just some help.. anything not needed to cover his medical needs, I'd like to use to help others in our situation. I find myself in a unique situation where i know what hopeless feels like, and if Smokey and i can save other financially stressed animal lovers that, we absolutely will.
