Hi my name is John P. On the 27th of July a fire burned up our entire patio area and the edge of our living room, it filled our entire apartment with heavy black smoke ruining a majority of our clothes and furniture. My mom managed to get 2 out of our 3 tortoises but she burned her hand and cut her foot while looking, we couldnt find our 3rd tortoise Rusty or my cat Simon during the peak of the fire. Since then we've been placed in a spare apartment and have been taking what ever is still washable/useable out of our old home.

The purpose of this gofundme isn't to replace any lost property but is for my 5 month old cat Simon and my 7 year old Tortoise Rusty. Simon and Rusty were in the apartment during the whole ordeal and we have no idea which room they were in, it wasn't until the fire was fully extinguished that the firefighters were able to enter and locate our Cat Simon and Turtle Rusty in the apartment. We have reason to fear that Simon has gotten a fair amount of smoke in his system from this and we also suspect the same goes for Rusty, we want to take them both to get checked out and vetted to see if there is anything to do for our two beloved bois since Simon has been throwing up food that he previously had no issue keeping down and been very low energy since that day.

So we ask that you help us ensure the health of our two beloved animals by providing us the funds to take them to a solid vet that can help them.
