Help Silvia Rebuild After Losing Everything in Eaton Fire
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Supporters,
On January 8th, 2025, my mom, Silvia's world was turned upside down when the Eaton Fire, fueled by relentless winds, tore through Altadena. Her home at The Terraces at Park Marino, an assisted living community, was completely destroyed (news story). Along with nearly 100 other residents, my mom was evacuated with nothing but the clothes on her back. While I am endlessly grateful that she is safe, she has lost everything that made her space feel like home.
Who My Mom Is: As a social worker, my mom has been there for others, offering her kindness and support whenever needed. My mom is a resilient and caring woman who has always faced life’s challenges with grace and determination. The Terraces was not just her home; it was her sanctuary and medical care. She loved forming meaningful connections with her neighbors and the dedicated staff who made the community feel like family.
What Happened: The Eaton Fire consumed her apartment and all of her belongings in mere hours. Like many of the residents, my mom now faces the overwhelming task of rebuilding her life from scratch. While The Terraces plans to rebuild in the coming years, she urgently needs help with transitional expenses to ensure her safety and comfort during this difficult time.
How Your Help Can Make a Difference: I am asking for your support to help my mom through this incredibly challenging time.
Why This Means So Much: My mom has always been there for others, offering her kindness and support whenever needed. Now, she needs our help. It’s heartbreaking to see her go through this, but I know that, with the support of our community, she can find the strength to move forward and rebuild her life with dignity and hope.
How You Can Help: Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference.
A Personal Thank You: From the bottom of my heart, thank you for considering supporting my mom during this time. Your kindness means more than words can express. Every contribution and every share of this campaign brings us closer to helping her rebuild her life and find peace after this unimaginable loss.
With gratitude,
Ariel, and Adina
P.S. If you’re unable to contribute financially, sharing this campaign with your friends and family would mean the world to us. Thank you for helping us create a brighter future for my mom.
