Hey everyone, As most of you know I’m Alize. I’m Aprils Oldest Daughter and Sidney’s Older sister.

My baby sister has been having pain in her body for a long while and feeling abnormally fatigued, she finally went to go get seen. After getting a few CT scans, it showed she has masses in her neck and breast. The location of them were worrisome so they decided to have a surgery to get the ones located in her neck removed. They were located between her carotid artery,Jugular artery, and facial nerves.

On October 16,2025, Sidney had her surgery and pieces of the masses were sent to pathologists; that’s where we discovered they tested positive for Cancer. A week later she was diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Cancer. She will be due for another Surgery to remove the her Lymph nodes and her entire Thyroid on November 21,2025.

With this surgery my mom will be having to take time off of work for Sidney's surgeries, aftercare, physical Therapy, and other appointments. My mother will also be having to take FMLA for Sidney as they estimated this post care process to be 6 months minimum. With FMLA my mother will not be able to do a single thing at work or help her team in any type of way. FMLA will not be paying her full pay for work and will eventually cause financial strain. My mom has always moved mountains to help the ones she loves, especially with her children. And has always been there for anyone in need. She is a great mom and a great friend/coworker. My mother has always done everything alone and has always supported us in life with whatever we needed. But this is the number one thing I don’t want her to be alone with.

I hope to be able to help her and my sister in their time of need with this and being by their sides. This funding will be going towards bills for my moms house,gas for travel cost back and forth from Columbus,and any uncovered medical Cost for Sidney. Thank you!!
