Shoshanna's road to healing after a horrific accident!

I would like to introduce you to my daughter, Shoshanna. Shoshanna is an amazing woman with her own passions, hopes, and dreams. She is a strong advocate for animal rights, including providing transport for rescues and shelters across the country. In addition, she has adopted 9 dogs and 5 cats that all were rescues and special needs.
She is working towards a career in nursing as she cares about helping people.
On Friday, December 13, 2024, my wonderful daughter was in a severe motor vehicle accident on her way home. She was driving a Mini Cooper and was T-boned by an SUV on the driver's side, which caused extensive damage to her left side. Not only was her car totaled, the jaws of life needed to be used to get her out of the vehicle. She had to be taken to UC Hospital because of their outstanding trauma unit.
The accident resulted in 3 broken ribs, multiple facial fractures, and a broken pelvis. Her leg was also pinned by the door, causing extensive bruising.
Her pelvis required surgery to stabilize it, which was done the morning of Sunday, December 15th. She now has an external device stabilizing her pelvis. This hardware will be in use for a minimum of 6-8 weeks. Once her pelvis has stabilized enough, she will have to undergo a second surgical procedure to remove the hardware. Meanwhile, she will be transferred to a rehab facility in the next few days for the next phase of her recovery and waiting for her second surgery.
We do not know how long either will take.
With her unable to work at this time, I am reaching out to the community for any kind of assistance for her.
Update (12/19/24)
I would like to thank those of you who have shared or will share this page. I am writing to update everyone on Shoshanna’s progress to date.
She received surgery to stabilize her pelvis. However, we just found out that she will be transferred to Encompass rehab facility in Edgewood tomorrow. She will have to continue to use the external equipment for at least a month or two. Additionally, it appears that when her leg got pinned bye the door, she has possible nerve damage in her left leg. Currently, she is unable to use it properly. I have not yet heard any more about this as yet. There are some tests they’ve already run, but I’ve not heard the results.
She is in a lot of pain with very little to do other than physical therapy or watching TV.
Her phone is still missing. Hopefully, it is still in the car. She is looking forward to finding it once I have a way to get to the car.

Update (12/27/24)
Shoshanna finally has her phone. It’s banged up but it works. She has been transferred to the rehab hospital and is doing well. There are still many issues to work on. Her left leg is not working properly and she is still wearing the equipment to stabilize her pelvis. In fact, she will wear that for at least another month. Her physical therapy will be ongoing even after she is home. She will require a walker and a lot of assistance once she is home.
Thank you for your support
Update 1/27/2025
First we would like to thank all our supporters during this very hard time is Shoshanna's life.
Currently she is still struggling with pain and walking, but hoping next surgery on 2/4 will bring some relief. I’ve posted photos of the car and her device. Neither are pretty.
We still need your help as we try to buy a home because with the damage to Shoshanna's body she can no longer live the RV nomad life she holds so dear.
she has applied for SSDI but takes up to 200 days for a response and food stamps but her appointment is this week after waiting 3 weeks.
please share, please donate and please reach out to her she loves hearing from everyone.
