Aid Sheri and Danielle: From Hurricane to Fire
Donation protected
Friends, Family, and Generous Unknowns,
Sheri and Danielle had to evacuate their home in Asheville with their cats due to the horrendous impact of Hurricane Helene and the devastation it caused. Facing at least one month minimum without water, they began the long and unbelievably tedious process of recovery. But then disaster struck again in the form of a house fire. Sheri shared: “When power returned to our house, our stove melted a bunch of stuff in our kitchen and because no one was home, our house filled with soot and smoke. There is a layer over everything we own. Our ceilings and walls are black.” They are staying with friends while they sort through what is still salvageable and get the house safe enough to return.
They are working with FEMA and insurance companies but need immediate help. If you can, even if it’s just a few dollars – a latte’s worth – please help.
