My name is Shell Cook. In November 2023, I left my job on medical leave due to a bulging disc in my lower back and pinched nerves. Since then, I have undergone three epidural steroid injections, one nerve block, and two rounds of physical therapy in an effort to manage the pain and regain mobility. Unfortunately, none of these treatments have been successful, and the ongoing pain and limited movement have left me unable to return to work.

While navigating the challenges of my back injury and disability, I received even more devastating news — in January 2025, I was diagnosed with  breast cancer. This diagnosis has had a profoundly negative impact on both me and my family, emotionally and financially.

The mounting medical bills, the cost of cancer treatments, and the loss of steady income have made this situation incredibly difficult. Despite these hardships, I am determined to fight with all that I have. However, I cannot do it alone.

I am reaching out for support to help cover medical expenses, ongoing treatments, prescriptions, and basic living costs while I focus on healing and recovery.
