Hey friends and family— My stepdad (Shawn) was recently in a terrible motorcycle accident. He was hit by a car and left with a both hips are broken, broken pelvis in three places, a broken femur, a broken wrist, a broken nose, a torn bladder, and on top of that, he’s also dealing with kidney stones. He has a long road of surgeries ahead, and afterward, he’ll be going to a live-in rehab facility to learn how to walk again.

To make things even harder, his mother fell off a roof today and fractured bones in her face. It’s been one hit after another for our family.

My mom is doing her best to be by his side, but she only has one week of PTO left. While her job is protected through FMLA, she won’t be getting paid once that PTO is used. Anyone who knows my mom knows she would never ask for help — but my sisters and I are asking for her. There’s only so much we can do to help financially, and this situation is going to put a lot of strain on her.

We’re asking for prayers most of all — but if anyone feels led to help financially, even a small amount, it would mean the world.
