Support Shauntavia's Fight Against Leukemia

Our dear friend Shauntavia and her husband, Patrick, are facing an incredibly difficult journey, and we are asking for your support. Since Christmas 2024, Shauntavia has been battling unusual symptoms, including swollen lymph nodes and irregular hemoglobin levels. After numerous tests and ongoing blood transfusions, she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a serious condition that affects the production of healthy blood cells in the bone marrow.

Why We Need Your Help

Shauntavia's treatment will require multiple rounds of inpatient chemotherapy. Her medical team is closely monitoring her condition, focusing on rebuilding her immune system and determining the next steps in her treatment plan.

Funds raised here will directly support:

Medical treatments and hospital stays
Financial support for Shauntavia and Patrick during this challenging time
Living expenses. Shauntavia's condition and daily treatments prevent her from working, reducing their household income.
Peace of mind as they focus on healing and recovery

About Shauntavia

Shauntavia is a vibrant part of the Charleston, SC community and has dedicated her life to education and creativity:

An educator for 15 years, an avid reader, and the founder of her own tutoring company
9 of those years were spent teaching in the public classroom
Provided private tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s needs and created supplemental educational activities for other educators to use in their classrooms
Entrepreneur, running her own jewelry design business and working as a talented balloon artist, decorating countless Charleston events and educational programs
Proud Francis Marion University alumna (Bachelor of Science, Class of 2013)
Proud College of Charleston alumna (Master of Education, Class of 2018)
Deeply engaged in her Lowcountry community, always showing up for others with warmth and compassion

Shauntavia’s husband, Patrick, is also an entrepreneur and works full-time to support their household. Together, they share a sweet pup named Apollo, who brings them joy every day.
