On March 13, 2025, Sharon DeMerse, Eden Housing's Community Manager from Redwood Lodge, experienced an unimaginable loss when a devastating house fire claimed the lives of three of her beloved family members. Sharon has been an Eden Housing employee for the past 23 years.

Sharon lost her mother, Shirley (age 90), her sister Pam (age 64) and her niece Aliyah (age 6) in the fire. Additional family members remain hospitalized.

In this time of profound grief and hardship, we want to come together as a supportive community to offer our help. We are organizing a donation drive to provide financial assistance to Sharon and her family during this incredibly challenging period.
