Hello, my name is Tameron Watkins, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my best friend, Shakeria King. Shakeria has been my best friend since 10th grade, and anyone who knows her knows she has the biggest heart, the brightest smile, and a spirit that keeps everyone around her going.

On Monday morning, Shakeria suffered a major stroke, leaving her hospitalized, unable to speak, and temporarily numb on one side of her body. This moment changed everything.

Shakeria also battles lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease that she has faced with strength, courage, and resilience for years. Despite the challenges lupus already brings, she still works hard every day to provide for herself and her child. She is a devoted single mother of one, doing everything in her power to give her child the best life possible.

But due to this unexpected emergency, she will be unable to work or fully care for her child while she begins her long road to recovery.

I am asking for donations—of any amount—to help lift the financial burden during this difficult time. Funds will go directly toward:

• Car payments

• Food, diapers, and essentials for her child

• Any support needed while she focuses on healing and rehabilitation
