Summary: I abruptly relocated to the NYC/NJ area to escape an abusive family member and unsafe living conditions. Funds will cover healthcare expenses, moving costs, stable housing (to resume work as a tattoo artist and performer), and veterinary care/medication for my emotional support animal.

Full Story:

Over the past few months, my health has deteriorated, requiring urgent treatment. I’ve lived with multiple overlapping disabilities my entire life, including autism (diagnosed Level 2), complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), seizures, fibromyalgia (chronic pain and joint issues), migraines, and a recent POTS diagnosis (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome).

In spring 2023, a severe traumatic brain injury forced me to pause my tattooing career. This injury exacerbated my health issues, causing six months of significant hearing loss and vision impairment. By late 2023, stress-related complications—frequent seizures (previously mild), a severe stomach ulcer, and burnout—left me physically and mentally depleted.

In early 2024, I moved from Texas to Kentucky, staying with a family member (a part-time nurse with fibromyalgia, whom I’ve since disowned) to focus on my health and plan a move to a safer location. Despite promises of mutual health support, and affordable rent, their home was unsanitary, overrun with pets, had undrinkable water, and in disrepair. They continuously raised rent demands to fund shopping and opioid dependencies, while misusing methadone and workplace-stolen drugs during my health recovery.

By fall 2024, I began planning a relocation to NYC/NJ to have better living conditions and for better gender-affirming care, healthcare access, and career opportunities. After two housing-scouting road trips, tensions escalated when I announced my permanent move. During preparations for a third trip, requiring a day of driving, a winter storm triggered a prolonged panic attack amid the stress of escaping the environment. My former family member responded violently: They threw me against a door, attempted to punch me (clipping my cheek), then wrestled me to the floor. I deescalated the situation and stepped away; police were called. Officers offered to escort me to the hospital and help press charges, but I declined to avoid further conflict.

I left immediately. Upon returning, days of sleep deprivation worsened my seizures, leading to unstable mental disposition during another confrontation and subsequent hospitalization. There, I was stabilized with new seizure medication, and vitamin and dietary adjustments per the doctor’s advice.

Despite timely rent payments, I was banned from the property, forcing my parter to have to pack alone, and us into a motel while securing housing. I’ve since stored my belongings, driven to NJ, and am working on finalizing a lease while staying in a long-term motel. Tragically, my emotional support pet developed a large tumor during relocation, adding urgent veterinary costs to my financial strain.

This ordeal has left me mentally exhausted, financially drained, and housing-insecure. Your support will fund critical moving expenses, medical bills, and stabilization to resume my tattooing and performing career full-time.
