Support for Scott Kramer – Husband, Father, and self-employed subcontractor After Tragic Accident
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out with an urgent and heartfelt request for help on behalf of my brother, Scott Kramer — a loving husband, devoted father, and incredibly hard-working cable technician.
Just days ago, while on a contracting job, Scott suffered a horrific accident. He was electrocuted while working near a power line and was thrown from a ladder over 20 feet high. His heart stopped and he was gone for several minutes. They did CPR to revive and save him at the scene. The fall broke his back and fractured his tailbone, and the electrical shock left his hands severely burned and blistered. He is currently suffering from paralysis, and we are still waiting to understand the full extent of his injuries.
Scott has always been the rock for his family — showing up every day to provide, protect, and support his wife and child. Now, he’s facing an incredibly long and uncertain road to recovery, and we’re doing everything we can to make sure he doesn’t have to face it alone.
Scott has always put others first — now it’s our turn to lift him up.
Please donate if you’re able, and share this with anyone who might be able to help. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean the world to our family during this devastating time.
With gratitude,
Kayma and the Kramers
UPDATE: Good morning! Scott is doing good today, we're still working on getting more comfortable with sitting up straight for longer periods of time as his nerves heal and everything continues to decompress. They said that they expect him to be moved out of the ICU soon and down to a regular burn unit intake room. They should also be working to get him a back brace and with a physical therapist to do some assisted standing today. Doing good, still working with numbness here and there but overall it's said he's progressing in the right direction. If anything changes I will try to let you guys know as soon as possible! Still have a long road ahead of us!
