Update: Currently receiving treatment for liver and G.I. issues, as well as portal vein thrombosis. Waiting for testing to be eligible for a liver transplant
Hi, my name is Roxanne and I am a 40-year-old mother of 3 from Florida. These past 9 months have been a very difficult and trying time for Kyle and I. The journey started with cervical and lumbar back surgery. From there I have had endless complications and side effects, including nerve damage to my legs and had to learn to walk again. I have also suffered multiple setbacks including being dropped which caused a broken bone and more nerve damage. I am still recovering and have to use a wheelchair, walker, or cane 24/7. In addition to all of that, I have now developed G.I. issues including a blood clot (portal vein thrombosis) and liver issues. All of which require treatment and medicine.
This road has been very difficult and caused a complete lifestyle change. Unable to walk and care for my children have been huge obstacles for the past 8 months. I am taking it day by day and working towards a full recovery with the proper treatment.
With mounting medical bills, traveling to never-ending doctor appointments, and being unable to work, things are getting very tough financially. Unfortunately, insurance does not help that much and just one of my medicines is $1150 per month. I have had at least 8 overnight hospital stays including a stay in ICU. The dr. appointments, hospital visits, trips to Missouri for treatment, and medicine has gotten to be a huge drain on finances.
I am raising money to help with medical bills, medications, doctor and hospital visits, and other necessary medical essentials. I am very thankful for any and all well wishes and donations.
