Hi, my name is Julie and I'm reaching out on behalf of my brother, Rob.

Rob is facing a devastating and life-threatening battle with multiple forms of cancer: Acute blastic Lymphoma, Esophageal Cancer, and a malignant tumor in his esophagus that has made it impossible for him to eat.

Rob has spent a week in the hospital and was given one difficult option: try chemotherapy and hope it shrinks the tumor enough to be eligible for further treatment. Rob has made the very brave decision to fight.

Despite being gravely ill, Rob returned to work immediately after his hospital stay because he was terrified of losing his job. Tragically, the very next day his car broke down, and because his FMLA had expired, he was fired after almost 9 years of dedicated service at his job as a forklift driver. Rob gave everything to that job, even delaying treatment to hold on to it. Now, my brother Rob is unemployed, without reliable transportation, and facing cancer without any support system nearby. Rob recently had a port surgically placed to begin chemotherapy, but he has no way to get there. With both of our parents gone and siblings living far away, my brother Rob is facing this terrifying battle alone.

This fundraiser is to help my brother Rob afford transportation to and from chemo, basic living expenses as he undergoes treatment, and get access to nutritional supplements he desperately needs to keep a roof over his head during the hardest fight of his life.

Rob has always worked hard, stayed strong, and never asked for anything, but right now he needs help. Any amount you can give, no matter how small, will go directly toward helping Rob get the care he needs to survive.
