Robin Byram lost the love of her life, Doug Byram, on Monday, September 1, 2025, in a devastating semi accident. Doug drove OTR trucking. Doug was about 4 hours away from home, just heading out for the week, when a devastating accident took place. Highway Patrol Troopers told us Doug had veered off the road, hitting the embankment, causing the weight of a full trailer to crash into the cab of the truck. First responders found Doug had passed away when they arrived at the accident.
Doug was one of the kindest men you could ever meet. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and would talk their ear off. He had the best sense of humor. Doug was always laughing and joking. You rarely saw him upset. Doug loved fishing and camping. He loved games on his phone, and his PlayStation was his prized possession. Doug loved his family more than anything in this world and was one of the best friends my husband and I have ever had. He was always the one you could count on. He’d give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. I know a lot of these things are said about people too often, but believe me, Doug was one of the rare people that this actually all applies to.
Doug and Robin were married for 18 years. They have a 16-year-old son, Ryker, and a 4-year-old son, Jennsen. Robin has been a stay-at-home mom to Jennsen, who is also autistic, for the last 4 years. Doug and Robin were in the process of getting life insurance on Doug, but it had not been set up yet. Robin is now left with the expenses of care and services for Doug as well as day-to-day living expenses for the boys and herself until she can get on her feet.
If you are able to help donate towards Doug, Robin, and their boys, we’d appreciate it so much. There is no amount that will be unappreciated. If you are unable to donate, please just send a thought, prayer, or some love in their direction. Thank you kindly for taking the time to read about a truly amazing man.
