As many of you know, our youngest granddaughter was born with many complications. Early one Sunday morning, she was rushed to the ER where she coded 6 times and was life-flighted to Texas Children’s, where they found that she had multiple holes in her heart and thickening of the heart walls, causing her heart to struggle terribly. She was intubated and kept in a medically induced coma. She was then diagnosed with a severe blood infection, salmonella, thought to be caused by her formula, causing her lungs to be filled with fluid, which led to oxygen deprivation. Not only was she severely ill, her mother was as well from giving birth and being iron-deprived, having to have iron transfusions and being bedridden for weeks after birth, causing Cameron to have to be off work for over 6 weeks now to take care of both of them.

Needless to say, they were having to spend over $100 a day to be with River at the hospital, between gas, parking, and having to eat, and not being able to work, ALOT has added up. We have helped them a lot, but at this point, we are asking for your help. We HATE asking, but the kids really need it. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated!
