Aid Riot and Mama's Recovery Journey

Hi friends. My name is Riot Romney, your friendly neighborhood tattoo artist and golden retriever human. The last couple of years have been incredibly hard on my family and myself, but on May 21st, 2025, things got impossible. What started out as a rare treat of a day off and fishing with my mama ended in a nightmare.

We were traveling home from our day trip in my Kia Soul, Eugene, named after my tough-as-nails grandpa, when we found ourselves in a terrible car accident caused by a Utah Highway Patrol officer. He was driving in the HOV lane at a high rate of speed and, for whatever reason, decided he was going to try and make a hard right turn into traffic on I-15, going at least 75-80 mph. He flew across four lanes of traffic, striking a Toyota Tacoma, and then both trucks hit me in the far right lane. The front end of Eugene exploded.

Thankfully, both my mama and I survived the wreck, but the doctor's bills started piling up the very next day. The insurance will only cover the first $3,000 of medical and lost income, and although I'm grateful they are covering that amount, I am left with an ever-growing stack of debt. We both need ongoing treatment and physical therapy to recover properly, and if you live in the U.S., you know medical treatment doesn't come cheap. So here I am, with zero money and a pile of bills, back rent, and a car that I'm now upside down in. UHP has been unhelpful, to say the least.

I'm here to ask anyone who can if they would consider donating to this fund so that my mama and I can recover both physically and financially from this disaster. Anything helps. I love you all and appreciate any help you'd be willing to give to get us through this nightmare.
