This fundraiser is to help our brother Richard (Rich) Heinen cover unexpected medical expenses. While working in Pennsylvania on June 11th, Rich was taken to the hospital by co-workers because he was having trouble speaking and walking. After an MRI, the doctors determined Rich had a brain tumor. On June 13th, I flew there to speak with Rich and his doctors. The doctors already had planned on doing surgery the next Tuesday. I talked with the doctors about the possibility of getting Rich home to be near family and friends that could help him. After some discussion, they determined Rich was stable enough to make the flight back home. We flew home on the 16th and made an appointment with Mayo Clinic. He saw two doctors that week and had surgery on June 23rd. The doctor said he felt very good about the results of the surgery. Rich still has a long road ahead of him with many weeks of chemo and radiation. We are praying for his recovery and need your support to help cover the medical expenses.
