Aid Renee's Journey: Cancer Treatment and Stability

Help Renee, a loving single mom in her battle with stage 4 cancer

We are reaching out on behalf of an incredible woman, Renee Rein who is not just a devoted single mom, but also a beloved friend and member of the NYC restaurant community. Renee is a true New Yorker. Born and raised in Brooklyn. After she had her son Ayden, she decided to move to Staten Island, to be close to family and to provide him with better opportunities to play sports (baseball and basketball) and attend excellent schools. For over 30 years, Renee dedicated her life to managing restaurants (GM at Kelley & Ping, Kin Khao and iconic The Coffee Shop for over 20 years), pouring her heart and soul into every role she’s taken on. Known for her unwavering loyalty and caring nature, she has touched the lives of countless friends, family and colleagues.

Renee was first diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2017. She recently received the devastating news that her cancer has spread throughout her body and her vital organs are ravaged. This diagnosis has brought unforeseen challenges, both emotionally, financially and physically as she navigates her treatment while trying to provide for her Son and pay for living expenses and a mortgage. Despite her circumstances, her spirit remains unbroken, and she continues to inspire everyone around her with her strength and resilience while being faced with the possibility of losing her home. Unable to work her only current income is the Snap benefits she receives.

We are raising funds to help cover medical expenses, daily living costs, her mortgage and to provide some stability for her family during this difficult time. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in her life and help alleviate some of the burdens she carries.
