EDIT2 06 January 2025:
I have been calculating my costs and expected needs and have come up with a series of goals.
To get out of here, I need to hit 2500-3000. I can move as soon as that is secured. As my housing is incredibly dangerous and unstable right now and I do not feel safe.
The next set of goals would be gathering about 3 months' rent while I look for work in Colorado. However, this is far less pressing and can wait longer.
My rent estimate is [phone redacted]/month with utilities.
I will be looking for basic part time work which should not take long, mostly I am just being cautious just in case of emergency.
The remaining will go towards fixing my broken tooth and any possible emergency expenses. I put a larger goal just to cushion any risk, however, to be clear, the most pressing goal would be the 2500-3000 mark.
This move will help change my life for the better. I will be able to have control over my life for the first time in years, and I will have independence thanks to transportation availability. I will be with someone I love and trust who will make sure I am safe.
EDIT:
I have secured a place to move to. I am looking to save up 3 months rent to help me secure a job once I get there. Rent will be about $1000/month including utilities, so that will be $3000.
I will be moving to Colorado from Tennessee. The cost of the rental is about $1500, plus the cost of gas and hotels. I will be traveling with 1-2 people to drive the vehicle.

Hello, my name is Ren. I am an artist and storyteller with health issues and am currently dealing with a number of emergencies.
These are the primary incidents that I am dealing with:
- Housing
- Dental Emergency
- No resources
I was recently informed that my current living situation will be forced to dissolve by November. I only just found out last week and have no resources nor anywhere to go. I was homeless once and I cannot risk going back on the streets with my health in its current condition.
I also am dealing with a sudden dental emergency. One of my teeth recently shattered and I will need it operated on ASAP as my jaw is already swollen and I cannot risk an infection. Due to the lack of resources in Tennessee I will need to travel out of state to go to a dental school clinic. The travel costs have been covered, I simply need to cover the actual treatment, which will likely be a simple removal, however I will update if it is possible to save the tooth.
I have a number of chronic health issues, from my back to my paralyzed left foot, to my right knee and left hip. I also have a compromised immune system and it is almost winter, I have nowhere to go, I have nobody, I am just trying to survive until I can get a more stable living situation in a state where I can receive Medicaid and proper medical care.
I will have to see how things unfold as this has all been very sudden for me and I have no options before me. This GoFundMe will be updated with my current status, my goals, and where I will go from here. This is so sudden and unexpected, nobody informed me until mid-September and I have until November. I am desperate, my health is crashing right now and I am struggling to keep up with work, and now I have to figure all this out.
Any and all help will go towards keeping me alive through the winter. This is my rough estimate, I have found a place I can stay temporarily for up to two months and I do not know yet how much they will want for rent. I have based my goal on three months of rent (~$500) plus the estimated cost of a removal at a dental school (usually 400-500). This may change as events unfold. I will do my best to update as these things continue.
I hope you can understand the uncertainty of my situation and why I do not currently have a more solid outline.
This is a terrifying situation to be put in. I do not know where to go from here, and the only thing I can do is reach out to all of you. I know things have been rough in my life for a long while, and while I thought I had some stability and time, I suddenly am out of all of that and stranded with very few people I can turn to.
Thank you all so, so much for reading through and sharing my page. Every little bit goes so far in helping me, and I am incredibly grateful for your support.
