Aid Rebecca's Road to Recovery

On October 3rd, 2024, Rebecca Hann was diagnosed with a large internal brain aneurysm and arterial dissection. It was later confirmed that she had a genetic deformity called Fibromuscular Dysplasia. This disorder gives her a higher chance of having aneurysms, strokes, heart attacks, arterial dissections, and blood clots. On December 9th, 2024, Rebecca went to Toledo for a routine brain coiling surgery for the aneurysm. The aneurysm ruptured mid-surgery and Rebecca suffered 3 minutes without oxygen to her brain. She stayed sedated on a ventilator until the 17th, and had stents placed in her brain and spinal cord to drain cerebral fluid from the brain swelling. After 14 days, the stents had to be removed due to fear of infection. After they were removed, she had cerebral fluid draining down her face for three days. She had to have a permanent shunt placed above her right eye, draining that fluid into her abdomen. This was a setback, and prolonged her stay in the ICU.
On January 3rd, she was finally deemed stable enough to start an intensive 21-day physical therapy program in Lorain, but as of today, January 11th, she is being sent back to Toledo due to a pulmonary embolism that happened on the 10th. This is yet another setback as we don't know when she'll be able to resume the physical therapy that will ultimately get her home and back to caring for her four children. The surgery was supposed to be simple with just a few weeks recovery and she was going to start work again in the new year. That is not going to happen and we don't know when she'll be able to go back to work. Her husband Bill has been by her side 24/7 from the beginning. They are currently separated from their children, who are staying with us, their aunt and uncle, in Missouri so that Bill can continue to be there for Rebecca. This GoFundMe is to help offset the costs of Becca's lost income. This will help support the family when the children go back to Ohio and Bill resumes work full-time.
Rebecca has spent the last 20 years growing and learning in several modalities in order to help people in their greatest time of need. She is a cancer survivor, healer, licensed massage therapist, personal trainer, yoga instructor, Reiki master, vocal and piano instructor, etiquette instructor, and esthetician. But before all of these, she is a mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. If you know Rebecca, you know how loving she is, and how she has dedicated her life to healing others and supporting them on their journeys to wellness. She has given so much of herself, and it's hard to ask for help in return, but the surgery didn't go as planned and the setbacks have prolonged her healing and hindered her ability to get back to doing what she loves.
We appreciate the continued prayers, love, and support from all of Becca's family and friends.
