I recently found out that I have a huge (likely benign thankfully) mass on my uterus- it is so large that it’s pressing on the surrounding organs and is causing small secondary issues, such as shortness of breath, needing to urinate more, causing my clothes to fit poorly (we all just thought I was getting a beer gut!), and it possibly is exacerbating my existing GI issues. Needless to say, this is all a huge problem!
The doctor’s recommendation is a hysterectomy- my surgery is scheduled for April 23rd. As a small business owner, I don’t have much of any savings beyond what I set aside to pay federal income taxes. We are lucky enough to have health insurance, but it’s still going to hurt to have to pay the $2500 deductible, then be out of work for the recommended six months while I recover. I am the lead in our home business, so while my partner can do some work while I’m resting, it won’t nearly be what we’re normally able to do, and our finances will suffer for it.
Here is the funding goal breakdown:

$4650 for 1.5 months of mortgage, bills, etc
