I started this gofund me on behalf of my friend Emily and her family. The family did NOT ask me to make this. Donations are completely optional and 100% appreciated. We understand that what happened to Pluto was an accident, on all parts. He was secured with his sitter when the family left despite misinformation. As they were out of town, their 3 year old dog, Pluto, went missing under the care of his sitter. What followed were 10 sleepless days of searching by family, friends, and members of the community.

With help from local animal control, Hawkeye Aerial Systems, and tips from the community, Pluto was tracked over several days. He covered miles, moving between Franklin, Wrentham, Cumberland (RI), and North Attleboro, and was even spotted crossing Route 295 late at night while avoiding wildlife.

Eventually, thanks to nearby sightings, the team was able to bring a drone to his location and safely recover him.

Pluto was found alive, but in tough condition, soaking wet after being in a creek in the rain, covered in countless ticks, exhausted, and dealing with skin infections after days outside. All while showing signs of lost dog syndrome which caused him to run from everyone, including his owners, until finally snapping out of his scare this rainy afternoon.

He needed immediate veterinary care, including cleaning, testing, and treatment.
