None of us really like to ask for help, and sometimes we really need it. That’s why I’m asking for your help for one of my friends and teammates, Pixie Cutthroat.

Roller derby is a full-contact sport, and unfortunately, we get seriously injured sometimes.

Pixie is on the eve of a significant knee surgery and will be out of work during the many weeks that she needs to recover.

There is no short-term disability to help with the perpetual life expenses.

I know she will work it out somehow because she’s a strong, independent single mother with a full-time job (without benefits), and you can’t be all that without having grit and tenacity.

And I want to help her because bills are bills, and if you’re on a tight budget like almost everyone I know now, without the money coming in, they aren’t getting paid.

Any amount will help.
