Hello, my name is Alex Stam. My father is Peter Stam. Last night, while my father was sleeping, he was woken up by a crackling sound, which was the sound of his window exploding. The boat next to his caught on fire, and the wind pushed the flames into my dad's boat, burning it down and sinking it. My dad had everything on that boat, and now everything is gone.

My dad, the courageous man he is, went back into the boat to grab any last-minute needs and grabbed my clothes, not even his clothes—my clothes. That's the type of person he is. When he went back into the boat, it was already too filled with smoke, and my dad breathed in harsh chemicals that harm your body. He has been in the hospital in the past two days and plans to leave very soon, he’ll make a full recovery.

My dad has lost everything and these medical bills will kill him, I'm not asking for a lot, just kindness from some hearts that want to help someone who has been knocked down.
