Aid Penny's Journey to Independence

At the end of 2024 my grandmother, Penny Hiernu, had a major stroke while at home. My grandma has always been a strong, independent woman, but after suffering the stroke, she’s faced significant challenges with her mobility and speech, which has made everyday tasks much more difficult for her. We’ve been working to make necessary adjustments to the whole house! However, the costs of these modifications and medical supplies have quickly become overwhelming, so I’ve been organizing a fundraising campaign to help cover the rising costs. The money raised will go directly toward making her home handicap accessible, ensuring she can move around safely and comfortably. Bringing her home from the hospital would mean the world to our family, as it would allow her to be surrounded by the love and comfort of familiar faces, and give us the opportunity to care for her as she continues her recovery in a safe and supportive environment. While it’s been a lot of work, knowing that these changes will allow her to live more comfortably and independently makes it all worthwhile. We are asking for donations to contribute to her well-being and make her home a safer, more accessible place. It’s been a rewarding experience to see our community come together in support, and the generosity from friends and family has been incredibly moving. We are incredibly grateful for any contributions made, as they will make a meaningful difference in helping us bring Penny home and ensure her comfort. Thank you!
