As Paul begins his next line of chemotherapy, he and Sadie need to escape the city and find some solace in the mountains of North Carolina. These funds will help them with moving expenses and finding a new living situation in Asheville, where they will be able to be closer to friends and family while Paul continues his treatment.

As many of you know, Paul has been fighting esophageal cancer since Christmas 2022. He has since undergone a life-altering surgery and countless rounds of chemotherapy, all while continuing to work, cook, and be a wonderful husband to Sadie. Needless to say, this has all been very hard on both of them; but their tremendous love for each other—as

well as that of friends, family and their two kitties—has kept them strong.

After three years of treatment, Paul and Sadie desperately need some peace and quiet. As much as they love New York City, it’s exhausting when you’re sick. They've decided to face this next chapter in the NC mountains—the same place they first met, fell in love, and made so many memories with all of us. And now that they both can work remotely, and Paul’s latest chemo can be administered by most cancer clinics, there’s an opportunity for it to happen.

It will be extremely expensive to move, find a car and place to live, and transfer Paul to a new hospital in the area so he can continue his biweekly chemotherapy. They have been saving money to get a house, but it’s not enough to uproot and relocate so easily.

Our goal is to raise enough for moving expenses and ideally a down payment for a little house. After all their hardship, I know it’d bring them so much joy if we could all celebrate together. Help us get them home.
