Stroke Survivor Help with Accessible Vehicle
Donation protected
On February 18, 2024, our lives took a dramatic turn when my husband suffered a hemorrhagic stroke, which left him paralyzed on one side of his body. Despite the challenges, he has shown remarkable resilience and determination, undergoing rigorous physical therapy, and continues to require ongoing therapy.
After spending 2 months in the hospital and 2 months in therapy, he still faces an uphill battle, unable to walk or talk. Recently, his physical, occupational, and speech therapies came to an end due to insurance limitations. Undeterred, I am creating this GoFundMe campaign to help us acquire a wheelchair-accessible van, a vital tool in his recovery journey.
As his primary caregiver, I assist him in sitting up, ensure he completes his exercises while in bed, and manage his daily needs without any external help. Despite working full-time, I am shouldering all expenses, and this fund will be instrumental in purchasing a wheelchair van and other essential medical supplies. My goal is to provide my husband with the necessary resources to continue his therapy sessions, as he requires constant care and support. With this fund, I aim to empower him, reminding him that this is not the end, but a new beginning.
