Aid Our Family: Dad on Life Support

Our dad, Jesus Davila, an Ysleta High School graduate, isn’t the kind of man who asks for help. For over 30 years, he’s worked in construction—quiet, steady, and strong. He showed up every day, building homes and lives with his hands, and grounded our family with his work ethic and presence.

But he’s more than a father to three sons. He’s a husband to our mom—Monica Rios Davila—his high school sweetheart—for over three decades. He’s a grandfather, an uncle, a brother, a son and a loyal friend. Motorcycles have been part of who he is for as long as we can remember. Quiet Sunday rides after church were his way to find peace.

On March 23, our dad was hit by a careless driver while riding his Harley. The crash nearly took his life. He suffered a skull fracture, severe pelvic injuries, and internal trauma. He was placed on full life support and has since undergone multiple surgeries just to survive. It’s been a little over 2 weeks now and is still on life support.

We’re asking for help—not just to cover his growing medical bills and the long road of rehabilitation ahead—but to make sure we can stay by his side through all of it.

He’s never backed down from anything in his life. And we’re not backing down now.
