Aid Our Dancers affected by the Palisades Fire

Our hearts are heavy as we witness the devastation caused by the Palisades fires, which have tragically impacted many of our families within our dance community. Several of our dancers and their loved ones have lost their homes, belongings, and sense of stability, facing an unimaginable loss that has turned their worlds upside down. We estimate around 20 families have been affected but that number might increase as we await more updates in the coming days. In the midst of this hardship, we are committed to supporting our dance families by keeping the kids in their happy place, DANCE, during this difficult time.

We are Dance For Kids, a dance studio located in the Brentwood neighborhood and have been serving our families for 35+ years. We have created this fundraiser to help raise money for the dancers affected by the fires. Dance has always been a source of joy, discipline, and expression for our dancers and we want to ensure they can continue to participate in competitions despite the financial challenges their families are now facing. Every dollar donated will go directly towards assisting families with covering expenses related to dance including a scholarship fund for classes as well as fees outside of the studio like competition fees, convention fees, and costumes. By allowing these dancers to continue pursuing their passion, we hope to offer them a sense of normalcy and comfort during this incredibly challenging period. The power of community is important during these tragedies and Dance For Kids will continue to be a second home and safe space for everyone.
