Aid Onix's Journey to Recovery and Healing

Hello, so let me start by saying what was a fun-filled, outside-planned Fourth of July weekend turned into one of the scariest times of our family's lives. My son's name is Onix, and if you know him, I'm sure he's brought a smile to your face at least once. He's a 2-year-old wild child who loves being outside, playing baseball, and following his older siblings around—just a typical toddler and all.
Sadly, July 3rd is a day that will permanently be burned into my mind. We planned our annual 4th of July camping trip with all three of our kiddos at our normal campground spot. We got there, set the tents up, made some lunch, and they were playing, having the time of their lives, not a care in the world. It gets around 9:50-10ish where we live, which is dark, and I brought up getting everyone showered and in for bed. He heard 'shower' and took off out the tent door to try to beat everyone to get a shower. (Another thing he loves is showers or bath time—anything water-related, honestly. He's our little fishy.) We had friends camping as well; they started their car as they were ready and going to meet us at the shower house. He heard their car and ran out the tent door so fast. I yelled behind him, 'Hold on, buddy, I'm grabbing our towels. Come here.' Not even 10-15 seconds later, I heard a blood-curdling scream that will forever sit in my soul. My 2-year-old toddler, full of excitement and life, tripped into a hot fire ring and ended up burning his hands, a piece on his forehead, his knee, and the top of one of his feet. I reacted as fast as I could, removing anything that held heat on his tiny little body, and his father and I rushed him as fast as we could to the nearest emergency room, where they life-flighted him to the nearest Child Burn Unit. As I sit here and type this up, my little baby boy is getting a skin graft, and our future isn't as clear as it once was.
I'm not the type to ask for money—never have been. I've worked for everything I've got in life, but I am asking for some help today if anyone can. I appreciate it with every fiber of my being. As a mother, this is the hardest thing I have ever experienced, and honestly, if you're unable to donate, just please keep us in your prayers as I know it's extremely tough for everyone right now. I do believe all the prayers we have received are helping keep him in good spirits. I know this was a long story, so if you stuck it out to this point, I appreciate it. Thank you for your time, love, and support as we navigate these uncertain days that lie ahead. (Also, all the money will be used towards gas, food, and just everyday necessities as this hospital is approximately 3 hours from our place of residence, but they are an amazing burn team unit.)
