Aid Nora Brown's Healing and Family's Financial Strain

Hi everyone,

My name is Emily Brown and I am the daughter of Nora Brown. As some of you may already know, my mom has been in the hospital struggling for 6+ weeks due to complications from a heart attack. November 4th, my mother had a heart attack and my dad took her to Uniontown Hospital where they did a heart cath. The cath showed that nothing was wrong but that one of the veins on my mom’s heart was abnormal and they said to follow up with a cardiologist. She went home, slept, and went through a semi normal day the next day. Later in the day, my dad and mom went to Washington, PA and in a parking lot, my mom had another heart attack. She was rushed to Washington hospital where she received four stents. My dad and I went home after finding out she was okay and were awoken in the middle of the night to a call stating that my mom had another heart attack and got three more stents. The next morning after that we had a call that she coded and they had to perform cpr on her to bring her back. Due to her declining heart function, they got her prepped and life flighted her to Presbyterian where she received life saving care and is still there in recovery. There has been lots of procedures she has had to undergo since being at Presbyterian. As my dad is disabled and my mom was the bread winner of the home, I find my dad getting more and more stressed with the financial hardships this unexpected event has brought. My dad has been driving to Pittsburgh everyday to sit with my mom and make sure that she is okay. I don’t want anyone to feel obligated to donate but I want to lessen the burden on my dad as much as possible. Just a share would make me eternally grateful.
