Hello, my name is Nicole and I am currently 7 months pregnant. In early July, I was hit in a head on accident on the highway by drunk driver leaving me with multiple broken bones, lacerations and deep bone bruising. The drunk driver did not have car insurance. It took over an hour to cut me out of my car and get me to a trauma center for help. My right foot, ankle and leg were crushed in the accident leaving me unable to walk since July. This also means I had to lose my job as a medical professional because I am unable to walk. Along with my broken ankle and foot, I also broke my back in two places and my ribs were all fractured. I will also need surgery as soon as my baby arrives to help fix the remaining injuries in my ankle that are not healing. Not being able to work before my baby arrives has put significant stress on my finances with each new medical bill coming in. I have no way of saving for my baby due in January as well as no way to pay for medical bills coming in since the drunk driver hit me in July. I have a couple of months until I am able to try and start walking again so anything helps truly. I just want to be prepared for my baby and not drowning in financial ruin because of someone else’s poor choices. I have foregone any holiday gifts for family members as I need to save every penny for my baby and medical bill coming soon. I appreciate any help provided truly! God Bless!
