Aid Nick Alvis' Recovery and Family Needs

Donation protected

Hello everyone, my name is Brittney Clay. My cousin Nick Alvis has recently been hospitalized for pneumonia. Once admitted they found he had infection and that he suffers from congestive heart failure. As an otherwise healthy 36 year old we were all devastated with the news. He has a beautiful family that has found themselves worrying whether their husband/father/son/brother is going to make it.
The doctors do not know where the infection is coming from. He has fluid on both lungs and on his heart. They tell us he on has 20% heart function. In 2019 his brother at 25 yrs also passed due to a weakened heart caused by infection. The medications they are administering are not pulling the fluid of lungs/heart and it feels like he is suffocating. They currently have him on a bipap machine to help him breath but if it doesn't work he will have to be vented. We are praying it doesn't come to this.
His wife Lena is a hardworking barber. Unfortunately with her occupation she doesn't have PTO because she is essentially self employed. She has been at the hospital with Nick 24/7 since last Wednesday. She will not be able to work and provide for their family because Nick wants her by his side. Of course with the future being uncertain she doesn't want to leave him for a minute. We did talk her into going home yesterday to take the first shower she'd had in days and on her way back to the hospital her car broke down. On top of worrying for her husband's life she now has the heavy burden of worrying about how she will pay their monthly bills: power, water, rent, groceries etc. Unfortunately, in our society most people are living paycheck to paycheck and don't have saved funds. Nick and Lena do not have much but they both work hard to provide for their family without asking for help.
I'm asking if you can manage just a small donation to help them get caught up on bills and repair Lena's car so she can travel back and forth to the hospital we would greatly appreciate it. During times when you're fighting for your life the last thing you want to worry about is if your family is taken care of.
We also ask for prayers. Please pray the doctors will have answers soon and for healing. We know God is the ultimate healer and with him all things are possible. We have faith he will survive this and live a happy/healthy life with his family.
No donation is too small. We would be eternally grateful to anyone who can spare even $1 to help this beautiful family. Thank you to anyone who can help.
Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; saved, for you are the one I praise. " Jeremiah 17:14
