Help Shaimaa and Manal and Their Family Get Medical Treatment and Rebuild Their Lives in Gaza
My name is Shaimaa Abu Rashid, and I am from Gaza. I now live in a torn tent after the war destroyed our home and took away our sense of safety. I write these words with a heavy heart and a body exhausted by illness, humbly asking for your help and support.
I suffer from kidney disease, and my husband, Abdel Rahman, is a diabetic with a chronic condition. During the recent attacks, he lost half of his foot due to a severe injury. Now, he is unable to walk and urgently needs medical care to prevent further complications or even full amputation.
We have a young daughter who is trying to understand life from inside a tent that doesn’t protect us from the scorching heat or the bitter cold. We share this shelter with my niece, who suffers from asthma, all while facing unimaginable hardship.
I lost my brother and his little daughter in a horrific massacre that targeted our residential block. Our entire neighborhood was flattened, and we were left with nothing.
My entire family is suffering:
My sister is a widow raising six children on her own.
My sister Manal is a mother of three who lost her home and whose husband lost his job due to the war. She pulled her children out from under the rubble with her bare hands.
We are living through pain, without access to proper food, shelter, or medicine. We are asking for your help.
