Aid Needed for Schwandt Farm Tornado Recovery in Juneau WI
Donation protected
On May 15th, tragedy struck my stepfather (Robert) and mother’s (Stefanie) home, dairy farm, and livelihood in Juneau, WI. A tornado touched down, tore through the farm, and the destruction left behind is devastating.
The roof was torn off the house, causing water damage that will take months to repair and leaving the home unlivable during that time. The garage collapsed on top of the 3 cars and lawn mower that were inside. The machine shed had a side torn off, and the roof collapsed, only being held up by a chopper wagon. The entire shed will have to be torn down. The barn was completely destroyed. One of the silos was blown over, and another has severe damage from things being thrown into it by the tornado. The cleanup work is beyond extensive from both building and tree damage.
Milking of the cows was their main source of income, and that has been taken from them. Any and all support is greatly appreciated.
