Dear family and friends,
I am so happy to announce and share with everyone that Justin successfully received his liver transplant on April 7th, 2025. While we are so beyond sad and keeping the transplant family close in our hearts and thoughts during this time, we are so grateful for this second chance at life. With this ultimate "Gift of Life" Justin can continue to be a role model to his children, the loving husband and amazing friend we all know him to be.
As you can imagine this journey has caused both Justin and me to be out of work for quite some time as the medical bills continue to pile up in excess of TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, and those aren't even the big ones yet. At this time, our priorities are just ensuring that Justins post-transplant healing needs are met and that he is able to recover in a comfortable and sanitary environment as he adjusts to his anti-rejection medicine, so that he is able to transition back into work when he is cleared in a few months.
Your donations continue to help us maintain a temporary life 4 hours away from home for the next 3 months. This means Food for us as well as our kids in Kennewick. Also, Fuel to and from Dr. appointments in Seattle, our significant medical bills and our monthly living expenses back home that allow Justin's parents to stay with our children for the time being to aid in a smooth and as least stressful adjustment as possible while we are absent.
This healing journey is a long one and not cheap by any means. Your donations truly help us keep our heads above water and Justins mind clear to allow him to heal as stress free as possible. Please continue to help get the word out there. Thank you all so much for your continued love, support and prayers.
Love,
Maraiah and Justin
