Crystal Beach - Aid Needed for Flooded Family's Temp Housing

Hi! I’m Kristen Timpanaro, a Crystal Beach resident and Florida native. I’m helping to raise money for a local Crystal Beach family whose home was flooded during Hurricane Helene. Our sons are in 2nd grade together and have become fast friends. This family just recently moved to the area and love our community just like us. They need help with housing costs and to replace things lost that insurance does not cover.

Like so many others in our area, our home flooded when Hurricane Helene hit Florida. FEMA and our contractor recommend that we not live in the home due to the potential of asbestos exposure after ripping out the flooring. The contractor estimates repairs may not be completed until just before Christmas.

Our family had to split up and sleep in different locations. We found a place to stay for the next week and need help to cover the costs for temporary housing until our home is livable again.
