Cancer Fight: Teacher in Need

The day before New Years Eve my doctor discovered a lump in my breast. Through a flurry of tests accompanied by an onslaught of stress I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. The last couple of months have been wrought with uncertainty.

As a happy middle school art teacher who lives alone I never imagined stepping into the new year with this shocking upheaval.

In the coming months I will be facing chemo therepy and surgery. My life is being turned upside down. Despite having insurance my total out of pocket expenses will exceed $8,000 and that is just for medical bills. I am looking for support to help me navigate this financially as I move into the unknown.

Maintaining my health and optimism is my priority and I’m determined to stay strong and grateful for everything despite these challenges.
