Aid Nakima's Recovery After Amputation

This is Nakima. Over the holiday weekend she jumped out of her dads parked car when he was at the market at Donner Lake. We don’t know why she did it. Maybe a squirrel? But she ran into Donner Pass Road and was hit by a car. Her back left leg was broken and unfortunately we had to amputate it. Nakima has been an avid retriever of ducks for most her life. She has been a great auntie to many pups growing up, always a smiling happy girl ready to greet anyone in the neighborhood, and just an all around sweetie. She is the happiest of dogs and is always up for adventures. Her vet bills were $9500 combined and we have had a lot of people express interest in donating towards her surgery and vet bills because of how she has touched their lives in some way through hunting or otherwise. This has been a tough situation mentally, physically and financially. Anything helps. Thank you
