My names Nadia, I’m 21 and from Maine. I was born with duodenal atresia and had a duodenostomy the day I was born. Then when I was 20 I fell ill, my intestine fully blocked with scar tissue and I got an emergency duodenojejunostomy. My life hasn’t gone back to normal sense then and as of now I’ve been in the hospital for 3 weeks waiting for surgery because my intestine is blocked again, and paralyzed this time. I’m hoping to get transferred to Boston Childrens soon because nobody in my state knows what’s exactly wrong with me. Hospital expenses are a lot, especially with me already being in medical debt.
