Nadia Sangster's Healing Journey

Hi, my name is Nadia! I have had a long medical journey that is not over yet. A couple months ago, I had a perforation in my colon, which led to an abscess in my abdominal area. As a result, I required surgeries to fix my colon. During the last hospital stay in which the surgical team went in to actual stitch my colon back together, I caught a bacterial infection that spread to my spine. I was diagnosed with osteomyelitis.

My new diagnosis led to a series of extended hospitalizations and stays in rehabilitation facilities. The infection then destroyed the bones in my thoracic spine, resulting in back surgeries to fix the damage. The road ahead of me is long and arduous that will include an extended stay in a rehabilitation facility to regain my ability to walk.

As you can imagine, I have been unable to work for an extended period of time. I have become the American example of losing your savings to medical bills. In addition, it will be difficult for me to work while I'm rehabilitating. That is why I am asking for not only your well wishes and prayers, I am also asking for financial assistance to help me get back on my feet. Any amount you can contribute is truly appreciated. I wholeheartedly believe that your financial contributions will get be back on the path God has ahead for me.
