My stepfather recently suffered a stroke and is currently in the hospital. As he begins his recovery, our family is facing significant medical and caregiving expenses. Unfortunately, his insurance does not cover the cost of the in-home nursing care he will need, and there are also many additional out-of-pocket expenses associated with his treatment and recovery.
