Aid Family's Stability During My Little Sister's Transplant

My little sister Autumn will be having lifesaving surgery soon, and her family is also facing dire financial strain due to her medical condition and bills, which will only worsen in the next few months. I am seeking donations to help with the financial strain of already facing eviction, possible car repossession, and funding her recovery in NYC. She is currently in the Intensive Care Unit in Saratoga waiting for a bed to open for her at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she will receive a liver transplant that she desperately needs. They are about to be two months behind in rent, as of the 1st, which is putting them in danger of losing their home whilst all this is going on.

She will have to pay for the living expenses here at home, and also lodging for over a month in NYC, as she recovers when she is discharged from the hospital. She needs to stay down in NYC for recovery as it is important to make sure her body does not reject her new liver with regular visits at Mount Sinai for a month. Insurance does not cover this as she will no longer be in the hospital, but is required to be close.

She is planning on staying in the Mount Sinai live-in facility with her husband Rik, and sons Sylis and Riley, which is an $1,840 monthly fee. As her husband has to travel down to be with her during recovery, he will not be able to work for that time and will be responsible for being her 24/7 caretaker. They are currently already struggling due to all the medical bills and time off he's currently needed and needs to take to help care for her.

The live-in facility cannot guarantee that they will be able to stay there until she has her date set, which will not happen until she is in Mount Sinai. If they cannot get a spot in the live-in facility, then they would have to pay for a hotel room for an entire month (which would be FAR more expensive, so hopefully that's not the route they need to take). This surgery is not an "option"; she will not survive without it. I am attempting to help her get her ducks in a row so that she doesn't have to worry about her home and living expenses while she recovers. If you can donate, we will be eternally grateful! Will post updates as information comes in.
