Aid My Healing from Stage 4 Cancer Scars

Just a metastatic (stage 4) breast cancer thriver trying to learn to love my body again.

After several surgeries, so many scars, and a lot of emotional/mental turmoil, it’s time for me to do something to help myself move on and heal. My scars from surgery and reconstruction bother me more than I like to admit. I’ve finally healed enough and have been given the go ahead to do something about it.

First step: steroid injections into the biggest keloid/hypertrophic scars to lower the redness and help the pain, tightness/itchy aspect.

Second step: Get a gorgeous mastectomy tatto cover up.

My therapist encouraged me to create a GoFund me for the financial aspects around this. The injections mostly are pricey but needed before I can get my tattoo. Thankfully the artist that will do it gives significant discounts for breast cancer individuals and the tattoo itself is very cheap compared to the injections. My body dysmophia is high, my self confidence low, and I’m tired of letting these scars control my brain.
